BBQ Flank Steak Sandwich

  • 1 ½ pound flank steak
  • ½ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Chipotle Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Zest of ½ a lime
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Chipotle Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 green onion minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


  • Place flank steak in a shallow dish. Combine the 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, oil and lime zest. Pour over the steak, turn to coat.
  • Cover and marinate at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Remove from marinade and cook on a grill rack set over hot coals for 10-12 minutes, turning once.
  • While the steak is cooking, combine ingredients for the mayonnaise until well blended. Spread mayonnaise mixture on bottom half of your favorite bun, layer with lettuce and thinly sliced steak.
  • Top with bun tops. Makes 8 sandwiches.
