Honey BBQ Cowboy Burgers

with Honey Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 1½ tablespoons seasoned salt, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 16 frozen onion rings, cooked according to package instructions
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • lettuce
  • sliced tomato
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat, brush and lightly oil grates.
  • Combine the ground beef, 2 tablespoons Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce, mayo, 1 tablespoon seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix until fully combined, then shape into 8 round patties.
  • Use your thumb or finger to gently press an indention in the center of each patty. Season the burgers with the remaining seasoned salt. Grill on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes until the desired temperature is reached. Just before removing from the grill, add the cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
