to 4Ingredients
- 1 lb new potatoes, about 1” in diameter
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, plus additional for seasoning
- 1 tsp salt, plus additional for seasoning
- 2 striploin steaks, cut into 1” cubes
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce
- Original Barbecue Sauce BBQ (undefined)
Instructions
- Boil the Potatoes - Place the potatoes in a pot with enough water or chicken broth to cover them. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until just fork-tender. Drain and set aside to cool.
- Season the Steak - In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ¼ tsp black pepper, and ¼ tsp salt. Toss the steak cubes with canola oil and the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
- Skewer the Ingredients - Alternate steak cubes and cooked potatoes on skewers. (If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water beforehand to prevent burning).
- Grill the Skewers - Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill skewers for about 5 minutes per side, or until steak reaches desired doneness and potatoes are nicely charred.
- Glaze with BBQ Sauce - During the last minute of grilling, brush skewers generously with Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce. Flip once and brush again to caramelize.
