Lazy Day Shepherd's Pie

with Original Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
  • Crust
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Filling
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, sliced thin
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 cups frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded
  • Garnish
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • Original Barbecue Sauce BBQ (undefined)
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place crust ingredients in a food processor, and pulse until blended. Pat into a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Brown meat and onions in a large saucepan. Drain fat, then add barbecue sauce.
  • Spoon mixture into crust, then sprinkle with the hash browns.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, and cook an additional 15 minutes. Place cherry tomato halves, cut side down, around the edge of the casserole for a garnish.
